The Hakko FX-972 Dual-Port Soldering Station is a next-generation high-performance 200W soldering station that supports a wide range of new handpieces. With a minimal footprint design, the FX-972 allows multiple units to be stacked to conserve bench space and includes a new easy-to-read display that is more than 3 times larger than previous Hakko stations. Re-designed to be intuitive with new features such as an IR auto offset when using the FG-100B Tip Thermometer or FG-101B Station Tester, a preset mode that allows easy selection of up to 5 user programmable presets, 3-letter passcode lock for process control, and user selectable sleep temperature. The HAKKO FX-972 also includes a USB interface that allows the station to be set up, controlled, and monitored from a PC using the HAKKO Control Software that is included with the station.

A new cap kit designed for the FX-600 and FX-601 soldering irons. This protective cap is easy to install and take apart. Once installed, you simply unscrew the cap to expose the soldering iron tip for use. When you are finished soldering, unplug the soldering iron and screw the cap back on. The heat resistant plastic prevents the tip from contacting and melting other tools or power cords in your toolbox when you put it away. It also helps reduce the risk of injury from accidentally touching the soldering iron tip when it is cooling down after use.
